Spend time
away from the ordinary, either for winter or summer. Tortugas
(Turtles) are considered a sacred and respected animal by the
Maya and bring good health and happiness to those around them.
This is the
newest addition to our In Ka'an complex. It is connected
by the Bugambilia wall to the main Bed and Breakfast area. Here
is the ideal place to spend the winter away from winter, or time
in the summer to explore the Mayan ruins, the city and the countryside.
Everyone
thinks of winter as the time to get away, but consider the summer
as well. We have over 40 tropical fruit trees on our property,
from which you can pick fresh mangos, avocado, bananas, papaya,
star fruit and many other exotic tropical delights.
There are
three apartments in the building. On the first floor there is
a spacious 2 bedroom apartment (1200 sq ft). On the second floor,
there are 2 one bedroom apartments (800 sq ft) each with an outdoor
terrace to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the sunset in the
evening. The bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and all bedrooms
have individual air conditioning. The suites are fully furnished
and have fully equipped kitchens with fridge, stove, microwave
oven and all utensils. The living room dining room areas are comfortable.
Enjoy the TV and VCR by borrowing from our extensive video library
of classic and contemporary movies. There are also radios and
CD players so either bring your own music, or borrow from our
CD collection ... anything from country to classical and everything
in between.
Dine in your
own apartment or on your own private terrace or enjoy a meal on
the patio by the barbeque sitting beneath the tropical trees.
Hear the leaves rustle as the gentle breezes pass through the
branches. Get your exercise in our 22 meter lap pool, or simply
relax and enjoy the warm tropical air as you sit by the swimming
pool. All the facilities of the Bed and Breakfast are at the disposal
of our apartment guests.
When you
want to get out and explore, you can pick up the bus just outside
the front door and a 20 minute trip will take you into the heart
of downtown Merida (El Centro). Taxis, at economical rates, or
vans, can be arranged for trips to El Centro, the archeological
sites, museums and other places.
